SHOP FLOOR PRODUCTIVITY

Operator Timesheet

simpliRP ERP has eight types of timesheets for different business process scenarios — Production Plan Based Timesheet, Production Output Based Timesheet, Operator Timesheet (3 sub categories), Process Information Sheet (3 sub categories), Sales Visit Timesheet, Service Visit Timesheet, Project Task Timesheet and Project Subtask Timesheet.

For Production, Manufacturing or Assembly Units, the Operator Timesheet is used on the production floor to track the exact time spent by a machine operator on specific jobs, tasks or routing operations. It integrates directly with project management, production routing and payroll to analyse manpower efficiency and monitor actual vs. estimated costs.

Core Features & Capabilities

Everything needed to capture, verify and analyse operator time on the shop floor.

Log Register

Operators log the from-time, to-time and, importantly, idle-time directly against specific work orders, sub-tasks or routing steps.

Plan vs. Actual Analysis

The system compares the time originally estimated in the Production Plan against the operator's actual time on the floor.

Target vs. Actual

If a Production Plan is not defined, simpliRP ERP also lets you enter a Target while recording Actual production quantities.

Productivity Tracking

Performance reports track from-time, to-time, idle-time, target, OK quantities and Rejected quantities for overall operational efficiency.

Easier & Faster

Four types of Operator Timesheets: Against Production Plan, Detailed Operator Timesheet, Fast Timesheet and Target vs Actual Timesheet.

Suitability

Timesheets are suitable for operators as well as admin staff, stores staff and accounts staff.

Typical Process in Manufacturing – Production – Assembly Units

How an operator timesheet moves from assignment to verified, validated data.

  • 1Assignment: Managers or planners assign production tasks or work orders to the operator during production planning. Machine / Assembly line, Operator, Item Code and Timeline are all interlaced and tracked together.
  • 2Time Tracking: Operators (or supervisors) enter the start time, end time and output quantity for the task into the simpliRP dashboard.
  • 3Verification & Validation: Separate Plain Route Cards are generated against the Material Issue Voucher, which the shift supervisor enters on the shop floor. Verification and validation are done against the Operator Timesheet using the Plain Route Cards.
The reports show target vs. actual, machine-wise / assembly-wise / department-wise / item-code-wise hours worked, OK quantities and Rejected quantities — simpliRP ERP makes manpower efficiency measurable!
